El Capitan Tempranillo 2020

Tasting Note

Deep magenta in colour. Perfumed cherry, redcurrant, toffee apple and woody herb aromas lift from the glass. Chewy, moreish tannins envelop the dark cherry mid-palate and define the savoury finish. A modern, versatile, medium-bodied wine, perfect for sharing with friends over tapas.

Deep, dark red/purple colour, with a sweet raspberry and cherry fruit-driven aroma, the palate is firm and full-bodied, with deep-set tannins that coat the mouth and leave a firm but not astringent aftertaste. Straightforward flavour, but there's density and chew in spadefuls. It would take some ageing well.
