Red Knot Classified Shiraz 2020

Tasting Note

Deep magenta. The blackberry and dark cherry aromas are highlighted with violet and a hint of roasted nut. The rich compote of dark and red berry fruit is contained with moreish chewy tannins and a fine slate-like minerality.

A deep crimson hue segues to dark berry fruits, a whiplash of anise-doused acidity, menthol and vanillin oak, Full-weighted and packing plenty of flavour. The tannins and acid quotient, a bit fuzzy and forced, but if this is your budget you could do far worse.

Deep ruby-red colour. A nose of mulberry and rosemary. Lovely dark fruits, plum and mulberry bring weight and presence, while a choc-mint element fills in towards the reasonably long finish. A good drink that will continue to offer pleasure for some years.
